HISTORY

Dr. Diehl completed his B.A. degree at Gettysburg College majoring in psychology with minors in biology, religion, and sociology.  He then went on to graduate school at Ohio University and completed a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology.  After completing internship/residency at Connecticut Valley Hospital and licensing requirements at York County Mental Health Center in York, Pennsylvania, he was licensed in Pennsylvania and subsequently licensed in South Carolina in 1978, where he has practiced since that time.  

In addition to employment in the child and adolescent division at York County Mental Health Center, he was coordinator of psychology and emergency services at Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center for seven years and has been in full time private practice since 1985.  Professional activities have included consultations at area hospitals as a member of medical affiliate staff, adjunct faculty member at University of South Carolina – Upstate, and consultation with the Department of Corrections.

Insurance Information

Our practice participates in the Cigna Health Insurance network for PPO policies.  We are also participating providers for traditional Medicare.  We will file all other insurance plans for the client’s reimbursement.
